It’s been a while since winter
It’s been a while since I last walked into an indie cinema.
A while, too, since I last gave myself over to the purity of art.
Lately, I’ve felt that something has been missing from my life.
Something soulful, maybe.
Something that once felt quietly, unmistakably mine.
I’ve been busy — with all the things I’m supposed to be busy with.
Only after a dream last night did I realize how much time had slipped by.
It’s been a while since winter, too.
